Interview with the ex victims of Natural Disaster

Last friday (around 17 November) , I got an assignment. The assignment is interviewing any university student who were a disaster victims. I went to Faculty of Engineering to interview students who was a victim a natural disaster. I interviewed some students in order to gather information. Here's some fact that I found during interview:

- Most of the student that I interviewed were a victim of 2006 Merapi/Jogja Earthquake
- They were around 5th or 6th grade when disaster begins
- One of them also a victim of Mt. Kelud eruption
- Most of them saving themself, then neighbour.

My thoughts about Cak Nun's "Rahmatan Lil' Alamin"

My first thought about Cak Nun's blog entry "Rahmatan Lil'Alamin" is a compilation of people reaction about current situation of Rohingnya on the first paragraph. It probably also compilation of "headline" of the "alt-right news sites". Move to second and third paragraph, the usage of hyperbole are too dominant for describing the reaction of current situation in Rohingnya. For example, the part when Tito Karnavian "reacted" after hearing the current situation of Rohingnya. He then flew back to Jakarta for arranging the meeting. What's wrong with it? First, in the second paragraph Tito Karnavian reaction described as "jump while standing" or in Indonesian " terloncat berdiri". I was like, is that even appropiate to describe hisfeeling while handling the situation? But then  again, if you read carefully these are compilation of so called of "sensational headline" then recreated blog post, Cak Nun style. Later, Cak Nun slams all Islamist organization using his point of view about "Borobudur Invansion by Laskars" and  mock the "laskars" by their numbers and their statuses. Cak Nun also slams ummat by the fifth and sixth paragraph. Cak Nun mentions how Borobudur was built and the philosophy of Borobudur. Lastly, Cak Nun said a lot about his thoughts about Rohingya, and his thought about current situations in Indonesia with a wise words.

Hello everyone, today I’ll talk about “How to be a Smart Readers of Online Newsportal”. Why I’m talking about this? Because, so many clueless people who does stupid things instead well, reading the news with using their brain first, then proceed to comment. Without further ado, let's take a look from this example:

This one, is a perfect example of "clickbait". What is clickbait? Clickbait is a misleading title that used as click baiting news article. Most of mainstream media in Indonesia and the World using clickbait for attracting the internet news viewers.

Another example of the "online news pit of hell" is the comment section. What is the function of Comment section? The function of comment section is to write a thought about the news, but it turned into comment wars between netizen.

So, this time I'll tell you how to be a smart readers of online news portals. Here are the steps.

1. When you find the news with clickbait title, read the news first.
2. Second, fix the title and/or use the "5 points of the internet news" for example, "this 5
3. Lastly, don't bother to comment section. You will ended up wasting time dealing with trolls.

Entah sejak kapan aku mulai membenci kata-kata itu.

Aku bosan mendengar pertanyaan-pertanyaan dan sindiran soal aku yang buta fashion dan tidak pernah memakai make up.
Aku bosan mendengar "baju ini tidak cocok untukmu" dan "beli kemeja hitam buat apa? buat layat?"
Dan karena itu lah, aku mulai jijik sejijik-jijiknya setiap kali melihat baju dan make up.
Aku tahu kalian pasti ingin bilang, "dasar nggak bersyukur", "sensi banget sih" dan lain-lain.
Tapi mau bagaimana lagi?

GW: *menghela nafas di dunia nyata* Fine, and you?

PB: Not really, I’m kinda bored with this game.

GW: *confused emoji* huh? Why?

PB: Because, Line Play is getting boring.

GW: Hmmm...but at least the clothes are better than the real life ones, right?

PB: Oooh, I see. BTW, I think I should log off now. My mom is calling me. Bye!

Dear Parents,

I want to talk about something important.

You know, I hate to say it but, I am sorry for all the mistakes that I've done.

So many many many mistakes that even I myself felt well, guilty as f---?

But here is my top 5 mistakes that I've done (and 1 of them is still...nvm)


1. I have short level of attention span. Which is mean, I am easily distracted.
2. Aku benci mengatakan ini, tapi sebenarnya kamera DSLR Canon itu memang punyaku tapi aku sering bilang "itu pinjaman" karena aku takut untuk berkata sebenarnya.
3. Sering terjebak antara "writer block" dan "to plagiarizing or not" baik dalam paper tugas maupun tulisan di sosmed/blog
4. Saat ini puasaku masih ada yang bolong...2-3 kali.
5. Lanjutan dari nomor dua, saat ini kameraku dipinjam teman selama 2 bulan untuk KKN.


...duh, dek.

Bingung

Saat ini saya sedang bingung.

Saya bingung apa yang saya tulis di buku harian digital ini.
Ada banyak hal yang harus saya tulis, tapi apa?
Apa yang harus saya tulis?

Puisi? Come on lah, I'm not that romantic person.
